Policies

How we handle your data, photos, and results. Last updated 1 October 2026.

Privacy

We collect only what we need to verify and list an attempt: your name, email, country, city (optional), age on the day, result, and verification evidence.

Your email address, witness contact details, and verifier notes are never published. They are used only to confirm your attempt and contact you about it.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers or third parties.

What appears publicly

Verified and pending attempts show your name, city, country, age at the time of the attempt, digit count, date, and verification method.

You may ask to be listed by initials or a first name only. The result still counts toward the rankings and clubs.

You can request removal of your listing at any time by contacting us. Removal is completed within 30 days.

Entrants under 18

A parent or guardian must submit on behalf of, or confirm by email for, any entrant under 18.

For minors we display first name and last initial by default, unless a guardian asks for the full name.

Photos of minors are published only with written guardian consent.

Photos and video

Photos are optional. By uploading one you confirm you own it or have permission to share it, and grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it on this site.

Verification videos are viewed by our volunteers only and are not republished without your permission.

We may decline or remove any photo at our discretion.

Corrections and disputes

If you believe a result was verified in error, or that your own result is wrong, email [email protected] with the submission reference.

Disputed results are re-reviewed by two verifiers who did not handle the original review. Their decision is final.

Results found to have been obtained with aids or edited evidence are removed, and the entrant may be barred from future submissions.

Code of conduct

Pi Records is for everyone, from first-time Pi Day reciters to world record holders. Treat entrants, verifiers, and event hosts with respect.

Harassment, impersonation, and deliberate false submissions are not tolerated.

Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies needed to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
